More Squares

These are pics of the next (3) sets that I worked on ... the most recent ones, I have ripped out and started over ... I didn't like the way the pattern didn't really show with the yarn. -- Louanne

  1. Oh, I LOVE your squares!! That one looks like a shell-type stitch. The dark brown is my fave color in this swap, by far. / Cat

  2. The dark brown is my favorite too!!

My husband hates when I rip out work I've done. he can't stand to watch, has to go down to the garage or into the office while I do it!

  4. Yes "S & S", my hubby does the same thing! The other day I started frogging cuz the chain was too long for 8", and he gasps "WHAT are you DOING??!!" in horror! lol Like he had made it and not me! Then when I finish a particularly great square or work and show it to him, he barely pays attention! Go figure

  5. My son loves it that he is the 'cause of my learning to knit and subsequently crochet. He joined a knitting group to knit scarfs for the homeless in 4th grade, and I was like if he can do it, then I can do. He was just looking at my squares last night and asking how many I have made thus far (12) and how many more to go (several).

He'll say that he is the reason that I make such pretty things now ... LOL ... so cute!

  6. I have that same pattern in my Bernat Book. Diagonial Slash Motif. It looks really good with light solid tone yarn. I agree with you I tried it in a dark purple and I took it apart too. I just couldn't enjoy it in the dark color as much as I could in the lighter colors.
